Through the exotic royal tours to the Queen’s 90th birthday, charity work and quiet moments at home – it’s been a huge year for the British royals.

The Cambridges attended the Royal Air Show
Gorgeous little Prince George looked absolutely thrilled to be accompanying his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, for a day out at the Royal International Air Tattoo in Gloucestershire. Wearing navy blue shorts and a crisp white T-shirt for the occasion, the young Prince walked hand-in-hand with his parents and donned matching blue earmuffs to protect his ears from some of the louder parts of the show.

Prince Harry and Coldplay rock the palace
In June, Prince Harry hosted a charity concert for his organisation Sentebale, with Coldplay taking to the stage at Kensington Palace for a rocking night out.

Trooping the Colour 2016
The Queen’s 90th birthday was officially marked at the 2016 Trooping the Colour parade where thousands of people lined the streets of London to be part of the special occasion.
Queen Elizabeth gave her royal wave from the balcony of Buckingham Palace but all eyes were on little Princess Charlotte who made her official balcony debut.
Prince Harry and Rihanna meet
Earlier this month, Pop and British royalty joined forces to raise awareness for World AIDS Day. During his Carribean tour, Prince Harry and Rihanna underwent a very public HIV finger-prick test to shine a light on the importance of fighting the stigma of AIDS.
Will and Kate tour India and Bhutan
Earlier this year the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embarked on their first visit to India and Bhutan, in the lead-up to the Queen’s milestone 90th birthday.
The lengthy tour saw them recreating Diana’s famed photo in front of the same iconic landmark, which was taken back during her tour of India with Prince Charles in 1992.
The Queen turns 90
On April 21st, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 90th birthday. In celebration of the milestone, Prince William paid a touching tribute to his grandmother in a new biography of the monarch, describing her as both a public and private role model. “The Queen’s kindness and sense of humour, her innate sense of calm and perspective, and her love of family and home are all attributes I experience first-hand,” wrote William.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have adorable Canadian playdate
On day six of the royal tour of Canada, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brought along their adorable children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, for a fun-filled day out at a children’s tea party. The royal youngsters melted hearts as they played with bunnies and enjoyed the festivities at Government House in Victoria where Princess Charlotte was even heard saying her first word in public – “pop” – as she played with the balloons at the party.

Prince Harry confirms relationship with Meghan Markle
In a rare move, Prince Harry confirmed he was dating Suits star Meghan Markle in a public statement last month. The couple have since been spotted enjoying a romantic date night out at the theatre in central London, and even going Christmas tree shopping!
Charlotte, meanwhile, loved getting to play with all of the animals at the party.
Pippa Middleton gets engaged
After sister Kate’s wedding extravaganza, it’s now Pippa Middleton’s turn to step into the spotlight. In July it was revealed that the brunette beauty was engaged to her financier beau James Matthews. The couple, who dated for a short period in 2012 before being spotted back together in January, are expected to tie the knot next year. They began dating again after Pippa split from ex-boyfriend Nico Jackson in October.
