2016 saw the exciting addition Prince Oscar of Sweden, who was born in March and is now third-in-line to the Swedish throne.

Of course, 2015 was all about the arrival of Princess Charlotte Elizabeth of Cambridge with the British Royal Family thrilled to welcome a girl into the fold.

While Prince George may be the King of Cuteness, his cousins Mia Tindall, Isla Phillips and Savannah Phillips sure do give him a run for his money!

And while Europe may be the home to ancient lines of blue blood, the Danish royals have an Aussie sprinkling in the mix thanks to Princess Mary’s Tassie lineage.

But it’s not just the European royals that have adorable offspring. In Bhutan, His Royal Highness The Gyalsey, who was born in February, has won the hearts of his people.

Crown Princess Madeleine of Sweden shared the sweetest snaps of her snow bunnies Princess Leonore, 2, and one year old Prince Nicolas enjoying the icy weather.

“A very Happy New Year to all of you from Leonore & Nicolas!” she penned alongside the photos on her Facebook page.

Prince Daniel and Princess Estelle enjoyed a lovely daddy-daughter day, as they supported the Swedish national women’s handball team.

The four-year-old had crowds delighted as she cheered on with her dad. Mum Crown Princess Victoria was at home with Estelle’s 9-month-old baby brother, Prince Oscar.

Swedish newspaper Expressen revealed Sweden’s second in line to the throne skipped the photos and “ran away from Dad . . . and stood on the sidelines and yawned.”

The sweet Princess fell asleep on her daddy’s lap. Loui Sand, who is on the sporting team, admitted, “It’s late for her to be up there like that. It’s good to sleep!”

The future King and Queen of Denmark, Prince Fred and Princess Mary, have a beautiful brood made up of Prince Christian, 11, Princess Isabella, eight, and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, both six.

Prince Christian, who will one day inherit the throne, is already showing he’s a strong leader!

As the oldest child in his family, Prince Christian loves doting on his younger siblings.

How adorable was Princess Isabella as a baby!

Princess Madeleine of Sweden recently shared this gorgeous snap of her two-year-old daughter, Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland, playing in the autumn leaves. “The fall is here!” She captioned the happy snap.

Princess Leonore and her family are currently based in London. “We go out to the park and we swing, we try to do a lot of activities because my little Leonore, she has lots of energy, so we have to keep her stimulated and busy,” Princess Madeleine told People. Leonore’s little brother is Prince Nicolas, Duke of Ångermanland, who was born last June. He is the second child to Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill.

And the one-year-old has grown up so much already! Princess Madeline recently shared this sweet snap of her son as he prepared to support the women’s football team in the Olympic finals. “Nicolas wishes the Swedish women’s football team all the best for tonight’s gold medal match!#GoSweden,” she penned on Facebook.

Each month, King Jigme and Queen Jetsun of Bhutan release new family photos via their official Facebook page for its online calendar! For the August installment their six-month-old son, Prince Jigme Namgyal Wangchuck, steals the show.

In this touching photo, The King cradles his first-born son, who will one day inherit the throne.

No doubt Prince George and Princess Charlotte will one day form a close bond with Prince Jigme! Earlier this year, Prince William and Duchess Catherine visited the couple. “It is an exceptional joy to see our beloved Gyalsey grow up so quickly,” the couple penned on Facebook alongside the snaps.

Swedish royals Prince Carl and Princess Sofia are beyond smitten with their newborn son, Prince Alexander Erik Hubertus Bertil, Duke of Södermanland, who was born in April.

Prince Oscar Carl Olof is Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel’s second child. The sweet bub was born at Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm and will be christened in May.

Oscar’s big sister is the effervescent Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland. Her Godmother is Australia’s Princess Mary and her Godfather is uncle Prince Carl Philip!

According to proud dad Prince Daniel, his four-year-old daughter is already an avid reader. “To see the curiosity in my daughter’s eyes when a new word pops up [and hear her ask], ‘What does that mean?’ Or when a new character or animal appears, ‘What is it?’ This is true joy,” he has said. Siblings Prince George of Cambridge, three, and his little sister, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, 16 months, are the centre of William and Kate’s universe. Proud dad Wills describes his darling daughter as “lady like”, while Catherine recently joked George is quite “naughty.”

Prince George and Princess Charlotte make their grand entrance

George and Charlotte’s cousin Mia Tindall, two, is the only child of Mike and Zara Phillips. The gorgeous blonde bub is often spotted on the sidelines with her rugby star dad cheering on Zara at equestrian events. As her mother Zara has shunned a royal title, Mia only attends a handful of official royal events but is still very much part of the family.

Young Mia is very close to her cousins Isla, three, and Savannah Phillips, five. Their father is Zara’s older brother Peter Phillips, 38, and their grandmother is Princess Anne.

It’s double the joy for Monaco royals Prince Albert and Princess Charlene! Princess Gabriella (L) and Prince Jacques (R) celebrated their first birthday in December last year.

“Jacques is a real boss. We’ve noticed, funnily enough, that she’s developing a real princess attitude,” Charlene has revealed of her two cherubs.

Prince Joaquim (R) and Princess Marie of Denmark share Prince Henrik, six, and Princess Athena, four. This makes them first cousins to Mary and Fred’s kids!

Prince Joaquim also has two sons Prince Nikolai of Denmark, 16, and Prince Felix of Denmark, 13, from his first marriage to Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, which ended in 2005.
