Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is preparing to welcome her mother Doria Ragland to England. It has been revealed that the 61-year-old is moving to London to be near her daughter and Prince Harry.

The Express reports the social worker is “beside herself with excitement” ahead of the move and could relocate as soon as next month, in time to celebrate her 62nd birthday in the UK.

Doria will be calling London homes as she prepares to move closer to her daughter.

Doria Ragland was warmly welcomed by the royal family, particularly Prince Charles and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall, when she arrived in England for her daughter’s wedding. The trio were photographed linking arms as they left the chapel.

It’s believed Doria has already started preparing for her transition to London. In May, she quit her job as a social worker for the Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services clinic in Culver City, Los Angeles and sources claim she now has her own security guard. It’s thought the yoga instructor will live inside the grounds of Kensington Palace.

The royal family welcomed Doria with open arms.

The Express quoted a source from LA, who said: “She is getting ready to move to London. I think she will be going as soon as possible.”

The source added: “She [Doria] also fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it’s somewhere she believes she too could happily live.

“I think this has been coming for a while.”

“Even before the wedding she told me how she misses her Megs so much she would do anything to be closer to her, especially now Meghan will be starting a family of her own.”

Unlike the rest of her family, Doria has remained very close to her daughter. Throughout Meghan’s life and, indeed, her whirlwind romance with Prince Harry, Doria has been an incredible pillar of strength, stability and support to Meghan.

Speaking about her mum, Meghan has said Doria is a “free-spirited” role model.

“For me to watch this level of lifelong sensitivity to nurturing and caregiving, but at the same time my mum has always been a free spirit.

“She’s got dreadlocks and a nose ring. She just ran the LA Marathon. We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I’ll still find so much solace in her support,” Meghan has previously enthused.

We can’t wait to see Doria join her daughter in England.
