MAFS’ Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson celebrate an important win for their twins in the hospital

''What a little champion!''

Married at First Sight’s, Bryce Ruthven has shared an exciting update from the hospital as his twin sons, Levi and Tate, fight for their health after they came into the world ten weeks early.

The reality star who is engaged to Melissa Rawson shared two videos from his sons’ bedside, and it seems like the brave babies are one step closer to independence from the hospital tubes.

In the first video on his Instagram story, he wears a surgical mask and pans the camera to show Tate lying in his bed and breathing without assistance.

He wrote over the film, “A win for Tate this morning… He’s now off his CPAP & breathing all by himself + has had his IV Cannula removed.

In the following video, Melissa makes an appearance, and she is watching over Levi, who is making similar progress to his brother.

“And now Levi has got the same freedom with his CPAP gone,” he began.

“He still has his IV Cannula in as a precaution.

“Little Legend!”

The exciting news for their babies comes a day after Melissa shared an update regarding her little ones while they are being looked after in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The new mum took to Instagram to share two close-up, black-and-white photos, of her hand alongside the tiny hands of her baby boys.

“On October 16th, 2021, our lives changed forever,” the MAFS alum began. “Our beautiful twin boys, Levi and Tate Ruthven entered this world 10 weeks earlier than expected.

Similarly, Bryce headed to his own Instagram account to introduce Levi and Tate to his followers.

The proud dad emphasised that the bubs “are already showing signs they’ve got a loving personality” before adding how proud he and Liss are of the “little fighters”.

“We can’t wait to bring our boys home! 💙,” Bryce finished the post.

The besotted couple first announced they had welcomed their twins exclusively to New Idea. In a shared statement, Bryce gushed over his baby boys while revealing all the details regarding their unexpected arrival.

“We had planned to spend the weekend building the nursery and setting things up for the twins, but that all changed early Saturday morning,” he said.

“Even though the boys have arrived early, they’re doing really well and are getting the best care possible.

“The staff at Frankston Hospital were amazing with Liss making her feel comfortable and we can’t thank them enough for all their efforts!

“The boys are going to spend a few weeks in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), they’re responding well to treatment and are squeezing our fingers which is the best feeling in the world.”
