It’s our birthday! 30 covers to celebrate 30 years of Woman’s Day

Take a walk down memory lane with us.

There’s nothing like a trawl through the Woman’s Day archives to bring a smile to your dial!

This week, we’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of the country’s most popular women’s magazine hitting the shelves in New Zealand with a special issue – and we’ve loved reminiscing with Woman’s Day.

Back in 1989, Princess Diana and Fergie were the most fascinating young royals, Paul Holmes launched his telly show, Madonna enraged the Vatican with her Like a Prayer video, Margaret Thatcher was ruling the UK with an iron fist, Bill Cosby was a popular sitcom star and women were wearing big hair, big shoulder pads and big earrings. And new magazine on the block Woman’s Day was there to cover it all.

Through the decades, stars and fashions may have changed – but the heart of Woman’s Day remains, offering entertainment and inspiration for Kiwi women.

Each week over half a million Kiwis love to sit back, relax and escape into magazine pages, enjoying the best royal and celeb news, powerful real-life reads, inspirational lifestyle features, excellent puzzles … and great gossip!

From the Woman’s Day team, thank you for being part of our 30-year celebration. I hope you enjoy our special anniversary issue and taking a walk down memory lane with 30 covers from through the decades.
