Harry Styles has announced his first solo world tour, and he will be playing one show at Auckland’s Spark Arena.

The One Direction singer will hit our shores on December 2, with tickets set to go on sale May 5.

Styles’ tweeted out dates of the upcoming tour, adding a photo and a caption that read: “SEE YOU. SOON”.

The tour will start in San Francisco, US on September 19. It will take in all the major world centres, and wrap in Tokyo, Japan on December 8.

The One Direction star is set to release his first solo LP Harry Styles May 12. The 10-track self-titled album marks Styles’ debut as a solo artist since the group went on hiatus at the beginning of 2016.

While we don’t have too many details about the new album, we do know that Styles wants it to have a more intimate feel.

In his interview with Rolling Stone, the singer says “I wanted to write my stories, things that happened to me. The number-one thing was I wanted to be honest. I hadn’t done that before.”

So far he has released one single Sign Of The Times and performed another, Ever Since New York, on Saturday Night Live.

There’s also a planned week long stint on The Late, Late Show with James Corden where it’s expected he’ll play new tracks off the record.

As for the rest of One Direction, band mates Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have already released their own music, with a comeback reportedly in the works for Liam Payne.

Zayn Malik continues to rule US and UK charts with his first album Mind of Mine.
