Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ tour has been full of surprise guest appearances from the popstar’s celebrity BFFs, but on Monday the ‘Bad Blood’ singer outdid herself for her Washington, D.C. show!

Kiwi songstress Lorde was the guest of honour on the night, coming out for a surprise duet with Taylor on her big hit ‘Royals’.

Taylor introduced Lorde as one of her “best friends in the entire world”, before the BFFs serenaded the adoring crowd with their rendition of Lorde’s single.

The famous duo were full of praise for each other on social media after the show, with Taylor calling her Kiwi friend a “wondrous angel” for flying all the way from New Zealand just for the concert.

Lorde wasn’t shy about sharing the love either. After the show, she posted a super-sweet photo of the besties on her Instagram page with the caption: “Looking over at my girl like ‘can u believe this is the kind of fun stuff we get to do for a living’ THANKS TAY AND D.C. GETTING TO SING FOR U TONIGHT RULED.”
