Adele kicked off her world tour with a bang this week by helping one lucky fan propose to her boyfriend!
With her first show – in Belfast, Ireland – happening to fall on Leap Day, the singer turned the spotlight back onto her fans by asking if any women in the audience wanted to propose to their boyfriends.
Leap Day is traditionally the day that women have turned the tables and popped the question – and one brave fan in the audience at Adele’s concert that day did exactly that!
The woman, Hayley, revealed she had proposed to her boyfriend Neil earlier that day and had gotten the answer “maybe in a little while”.
However, Adele wasn’t having any of it and urged Neil to say yes – even jokingly threatening to put him on the cover of her upcoming tour DVD!
“You have to say yes. Oh my God, they’re turning,” she said as the crowd began to boo Neil.
“Say a proper yes, bruv.”
