New Zealand music’s big night – the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards – kicked off last night with a pre-party at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland, so by the time the stars arrived at the red carpet at the Vector Arena they were well and truly in the party spirit.
Kimbra led the style stakes in her unique yellow gown, adorned with beautiful flowers. The boys didn’t disappoint either – Kiwi-born Dredd 3D movie star Karl Urban added a touch of Hollywood glam and Colin Mathura-Jeffree mixed his dapper style with rock’n’roll for the night.
By the end of the night, the event became known as the Six60 and Kimbra awards after both acts cleaned up the majority of the gongs. For photos of the exclusive pre-party, see our next issue, on sale Monday.
