After sharing the news of their engagement on social media yesterday, the messages of congratulations came flooding in for Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna – but Rob’s famous family have largely remained silent on the subject.
However, an insider tells Us Weekly that Rob’s mother Kris has privately told him he’s “making a mistake” getting married so quickly, and his sisters reportedly agree.
“Kris is not happy. But she will say she is,” the source told Us Weekly.
As for Chyna’s ex Tyga (who is now dating Kylie Jenner), he made his thoughts about the pair clear with a series of posts on Twitter, explaining that “everybody deserves to be happy” and revealing he was only concerned about his son, King Cairo.

Rob and Blac Chyna (real name Angela White) announced they were engaged yesterday after having dated for just over two months. In a photo posted to social media for the announcement, Chyna can be seen holding on to Rob’s face affectionately as he grins widely, with a dazzling diamond engagement ring clearly visible on her hand.
“I’m so blessed and honoured to have good man in my life, I love you @robkardashian!” she added in a later post.
The pair first went public with their romance in late January, when Chyna posted a photo of Rob’s tattooed arm around her shoulders.

Despite only being together for a few months, the couple have already weathered some rocky moments together. In February, not long after they confirmed their romance, Rob drove cross-country from Los Angeles to Texas to pick Chyna up after she was arrested during a layover in Austin Airport. Police later charged the model and makeup artist with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.
While she and Rob have only seemed to grow closer since then, sources have hinted at tension behind the scenes with Rob’s sisters and mother Kris.
As Tyga’s ex-fiancée and the mother of his child, Chyna’s relationship with Kylie Jenner and the rest of the family hasn’t always been smooth. And as if that wasn’t enough, her BFF status with Kanye West’s ex Amber Rose is also thought to have ruffled some feathers within the Kardashian clan.
However, sources close to Rob say his relationship with Chyna has helped bring him out of his shell after his struggle with depression and given him a renewed confidence.
“Everything about him has changed,” a friend told Us. “She’s been so good for him. He says he can’t believe a girl this hot is into him.”
Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie have yet to comment publicly on the engagement or congratulate Rob and Chyna. At the moment the news broke, the family were away in Colorado enjoying a holiday at a lavish ski resort.
