It hasn’t only been the rundown homes of The Block NZ: Villa Wars getting a structural spruce-up – the sensational girls of the TV3 series have had their bodies renovated too!
After nine weeks of relentless physical labour working on their houses, Cat Glass, Jamie Johns, Brooke Thompson, and Sarah and Minanne Kong are all feeling trimmer, more toned and stronger than ever.
So it’s with new confidence that the beaming Block beauties bare their fit figures in bustiers, bras and boy-leg bottoms at our exclusive shoot – see more photos here!

Her nine-to-five job sees her stuck at a desk most of the time, so exercise bunny Brooke Thompson is relishing her time on The Block!

“I’ve definitely lost weight and I’ve started to get strong, muscly arms,” says the 25-year-old blonde bombshell, although she says that feeling fit and healthy has been the biggest reward.

Before heading to Block HQ, diminutive DIY diva Sarah Kong was worried about straining her back with all the heavy lifting involved.

Now, the Wellington-based designer says she can list a 40kg bag of cement!

“I have a whole new appreciation for my body and what it can do. True confidence comes when you can rock what you’ve got,” she says.

Sarah’s equally petite younger sister Minanne has also seen benefits after being on the physically demanding show.

“I finally have a butt,” she says, revealing that that “everything’s toned up” after the long days of physical labour.

“There will always be things we don’t like about ourselves, but picking yourself apart only makes you unhappy,” Minanne says.

As a teen, New Plymouth knockout Cat Glass felt self-conscious about her long limbs.

Fast-forward to today, and the statuesque stunner has grown into her svelte frame thanks to a love of team sports. “I learnt the importance of exercise for mental and physical wellbeing very early on,” she reveals.

Her muscular legs help her power through netball games, but 23-year-old Jamie wasn’t so confident about her thighs back in high school. “I always felt self-conscious of my athletic frame,” she says.

With age, however, the reality star has come to love her fit figure (legs included), and her fiance Hayden loves it too!

Jamie says she feels most confident in herself after a hard-fought game of netball. “I love that feeling of pushing my body to the limits and reaching my potential,” she says.

“I don’t look in the mirror and think, ‘I want to be skinny.’ I think, ‘I want to be healthy and happy,'” says Brooke.

“For me, confidence is about how you feel, not about what you weigh,” Brooke reveals.
