There’s no mistaking Jordan Mauger’s penchant for extreme sports, but the Bachelor’s high-octane dates were a major turn off for newly-eliminated bachelorette Sarah Wallace.
The gorgeous hairstylist from Auckland was sent packing last night after an abseiling fail that the 30-year-old describes as her “nightmare date!”
Say Sarah, “Jordan and I would’ve have benefitted from going on dates that were a little more chilled out, where we could sit down have a proper conversation.
“I don’t think abseiling is a good chance to get to know someone, it’s just an activity, and a really risky activity at that.”
Sarah stands by her decision to back out of the challenge, telling Woman’s Day no amount of brawn and bravery could have earned her a rose.
“I definitely don’t think he sent me home as punishment – I’m proud of my decision,” says Sarah.

“Jordan probably just realised the connection wasn’t there for us. I think I took it on the chin pretty well. I said I wasn’t sad, but obviously you feel a little gutted that your chance to get to know Jordan and explore where you relationship might go is over. “
But the bubbly blonde is wasting no time moving on, in fact, she’s hot on the hunt for another action man to help her conquer her fears.
“Jordan is a great guy with lots of awesome qualities. He’s going to make some girl very happy one day. It didn’t work out for us – but this is just one thing with one guy, there are plenty other out there.
Adding, “I would like to face my fears one day and give abseiling a crack. Consider this an invitation for some guy to take me out and give it another go!”

Sarah’s search for love on The Bachelor NZ came to an end on last night’s episode.
