The talk show host began by apologising to Mrs. Joe Manganiello, saying “I’m sorry I couldn’t make the wedding. I appreciate that -”
But she wasn’t getting away with her absence lightly!
“You’re not really sorry,” Sofia joked sarcastically, swiftly cutting Ellen off mid-sentence. “Why didn’t you make a little more effort to go? It’s not like they’re not holding the production for you for one day.”
Ellen tried to explain to the Columbian native that she has to film a new episode every day and that she would have attended had Sofia had the wedding in town instead of in Florida.
“She’s talking like really fast, so I don’t…” Sofia teased.
The Modern Family star went on to talk about her perfect wedding that “was like a dream, like a fairy tale. Like, it came out perfectly like how I wanted.”
Sofia revealed that after the initial ceremony, they had an after-party which lasted until 6am. But “not everybody” got drunk, she said. The whole cast of Modern Family were in attendance and “they were tipsy.”
“We had a great time,” she went on, rubbing it in more. “A lot of food, a lot of flowers, a lot of nice people. You missed a very good party.”
