Update 23.06.16: Selma Blair has released a statement apologising for her in-flight incident, confessing she “made a big mistake” and was “filled with shame” over what happened.
“After a lovely trip with my son and his dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret,” she told Vanity Fair.
“My son was with his Dad asleep with hsi headphones on, so there is that saving grace. I take this very seriously, and I apologise to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath. I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry.”

Reports out of the United States claim Selma Blair was removed from the Delta Airlines flight by stretcher at LAX Airport by medical personnel and taken to hospital following the alleged outburst.
The actress – who recently gained praise for her turn in the miniseries The People vs O.J. Simpson – was allegedly seen mixing alcohol and prescription medication while seated in first class during the flight from Cancun, Mexico, reports TMZ.
According to the media outlet’s sources, the 43-year-old star was crying as she reportedly said, “He burns my private parts,” “He won’t let me eat or drink,” “He beats me,” and “He’s going to kill me.” It is not known who the actress was referring to at the time.
The pilot reportedly called LAX to inform them a passenger was having some kind of episode. A source told People, “It looks like she had taken a combination of prescription medication with alcohol. We don’t know what sort of prescription medications.”
The single mum previously shared a snap of herself with four-year-old son Arthur Saint as they headed to Mexico four days ago.
They were reuniting with Arthur’s dad and Selma’s ex, Jason Bleick, for a Father’s Day getaway.
