Sean, 45, has been arrested and charged with assault, battery and making terrorist threats after allegedly attacking his son’s football coach with a kettlebell.

The incident happened at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on Monday, according to a statement released by the university.

TMZ reports the trouble began after Sean’s son Justin reportedly received some tough comments from coach Sal Alosi. When Diddy went to talk things over with the coach, that’s when things escalated.

In the official UCLA statement, football coach Jim Mora said the university staff showed a “level of professionalism” in dealing with the incident, and that they would refrain from commenting any further while the police investigation was ongoing.

However, a representative for Diddy tells E! the rapper acted purely in self-defence.

“What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son,” the rep said.

“We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed.”

Meanwhile, Sean’s son Justin took to Instagram today to post a photo of himself and his dad, thanking God for “having a father that’s always there”.
