The Grammy Award-winning singer has been forced to cancel a show in the Italian city.
Sam, whose album 'In the Lonely Hour' won him four Grammys at this year's ceremony, was heartbroken as he announced the cancellation on his official Twitter account.
"I have laryngitis, I'm so upset," he tweeted.
"I'm sorry to any fans in Milan tonight and to all who have travelled from abroad. I have laryngitis. I promise I will make it up to you x."
The busy singer-songwriter has been juggling a hectic schedule lately, as he continues performances and interviews in the wake of his multiple Grammy wins.
Most recently, Sam announced he has re-recorded his song 'Lay Me Down' with John Legend for this year's Red Nose Day charity campaign. The official music video can be seen here:
