President Obama has audience in stitches with Black History Month joke

Please don’t go, Obama.

President Obama had an audience in stitches last week, when he hosted a reception for Black History Month at the White House.

Greeting the crowd with First Lady Michelle, Barack responded to a heckler who shouted from the crowd.

As the woman shouted to Michelle that she looked “so good,” Barack took no time to respond.

“We know it is Black History Month when you hear somebody say, ‘Haay Michelle! Girl, you look so good!’” Obama said, as his wife laughed beside him.

“He’s alright. You look good too, baby,” Michelle responded, leaving the audience erupting with laughter.

Obama also used the reception to commend the work of civil rights leaders, and to comment on the history of African-Americans in the United States.

“From our earliest days, black history has been American history,” Obama said.

“We’re the slaves who quarried the stone to build this White House, the soldiers who fought for our nation’s independence, who fought to hold this union together, who fought for freedom of others around the world.”
