But aside from being outed as a pretty mean person, as well as losing several job opportunities thanks to the blunder, Dani could now be facing criminal charges.

Gossip site TMZ reports that now the police have located the victim, Dani could face six months in jail for her actions.

The site says the woman – who is in her 70s – wants to proceed with prosecution and TMZ claims their inside sources say police want to make an example out of Mathers who broke laws prohibiting the dissemination of private images.

TMZ report the police have accused the 2015 Playmate of the Year of “egregiously violating a member’s right of privacy by taking a picture of her while naked in the shower, and then humiliating her by posting the picture with a disgusting caption”.

Dani claims she never meant to make the post public and was only trying to send the image to a friend.

After the uproar the blonde took to Twitter to apologise for her actions.

“There is no excuse,” she wrote on Twitter. “I understand fully the magnitude of this post that I have hurt a lot of people, women. Body shaming is not okay…and not something to joke about.”

Regardless of her apology, Dani has been banned for life from LA Fitness, stood down from Playmate duties indefinitely and lost her job at a local radio station.
