Celebrity cook Nadia Lim ended up in hospital yesterday after slicing the top of her finger off.
The new mum shared all the details of the gory accident on her Facebook page, including a photo of her time in the accident and emergency department.
Despite the accident, Nadia, who is one of the co-founders of the hugely successful My Food Bag company, kept a level head and managed to ensure doctors could reattach the lost part of her finger.
“So, this afternoon I ended up slicing the top of my finger off and had to go to A and E to get the chopped off piece put back on!” she wrote.

“Lucky I saved my piece of finger (in a little plastic bag, in a chiller bag). Must have been overexcited about Bargain Box NZ launching today when I was making lunch!”
Nadia, who gave birth to a baby boy named Bodhi in April, revealed the accident happened while she was doing something she’d done thousands of times before.
“I was cutting bread…don’t ask me how I did it!” she told one of the fans who wished her well on her Facebook page.
