Madeleine Stuart is truly one of a kind.

At 19, she is the first fashion model with Down Syndrome, and has walked in catwalk shows and adorned magazine covers.

And now the Australian has posed for one of the most dreamy bridal shoots we’ve ever seen.

With her beautiful red locks pinned back in cute ringlets, Madeleine looks every inch the high fashion model in this latest shoot in Virginia, US.

Madeleine shared some images from the shoot to her Instagram page, all of which were taken by photographer Sarah Houston.

The images were taken at Rixey Manor, a popular wedding destination, and the gowns worn in the shoot were by designer Ava Laurenne.

Owner of the manor, Isadora Martin-Dye, organised the shoot because she wanted a different representation of a bride for a change.

“A lot of newly engaged women cannot see themselves as a bride because all the images magazines use are of these tall, thin models,” she told Today.

“I think that being a bride is a life experience that every women should be able to see herself doing — and definitely not stressing about the fact that they won’t look ‘perfect’ on their wedding day.”

According to her website, Maddy wants to “change the way people discriminate against disability.”

“She wants people to know that Down Syndrome is a blessing, something to be celebrated.”
