Michael Buble has revealed that his three-year-old son Noah, who has been battling liver cancer, will be able to celebrate Christmas at home with the family this year.
Noah’s doctors have agreed to release him from hospital for the festive period, but the three-year-old will have to stay in California where he is being treated rather than heading to the family’s home in Canada.
According to The Daily Mail, the singer and his wife Luisana Lopilato will be spending the holiday with Noah and relatives in Los Angeles, rather than flying back to Vancouver.
Michael and Luisana revealed last month that Noah was battling liver cancer.
Luisana’s brother, Dario, and dad, Eduardo, are expected to join her mother Beatriz in Los Angeles to help plan the family’s Christmas celebrations this year.
“This is without doubt the best present for his parents and the relatives who have been helping them out since they learnt about his cancer diagnosis,” reported one Argentinian news site, according to The Daily Mail.
“To celebrate this good piece of news, the artists’ families will travel to the United States to spend Christmas with Noah and make it one of the most special Christmases they have had together.
“They’re all used to spending the festive season in Vancouver but this year they will be where Noah is.”
Michael and Luisana first announced that Noah had cancer early last month, in a post on Michael’s official Facebook page.
At the time, the couple announced they were putting their careers on hold to be able to support Noah through his battle with the disease.
“We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children,” the couple said.
The couple have two children, three-year-old Noah and 10-month-old Elias.
“We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”
Doctors reportedly confirmed Noah’s diagnosis on November 1, after undertaking a liver biopsy at a Buenos Aires clinic.
Argentinian magazine Gente reported last month that Noah would be undergoing four months of chemo and a possible surgery to remove a tumour, while other reports have claimed the three-year-old has a 90 per cent chance of beating his cancer.
