Married at First Sight NZ: Haydn and Luke are auctioning their wedding rings

At least it's for a good cause...

Married at First Sight stars Haydn and Luke are auctioning off their wedding rings.

All proceeds of the auction will be donated to KidsCan.

The Angela Daniels rings are valued at $1400 each and are currently live on Trademe.

In a video, posted to Haydn’s Instagram, the boys talk about why they’re auctioning off the rings.

“Unfortunately it [the experiment] didn’t work out too well, but we gave it 110%,” Haydn says.

“These are wedding rings, and we don’t really need them anymore,” says Luke.

The boys also say that the winner will win a lunch date with them.

Luke and his former wife Lacey split within a fortnight of being married, Haydn and Bel separated towards the end of the experiment, after a heated dinner party.

KidsCan chief executive Julie Chapman told the Herald that she was grateful for the donation.

“If the rings sold for their combined value of $2800, the proceeds would allow KidsCan to buy 186 raincoats or pairs of shoes.”

Although it’s on interesting terms, we’re glad it’s for a great cause!
