Madonna speaks out on son Rocco’s arrest for drug possession: “I will do whatever I can”

The pop singer has broken her silence on her 16-year-old son’s arrest

Following the news of Rocco Ritchie’s arrest for marijuana possession during a drugs raid, his mum Madonna has released a statement.

“I love my son very much. I will do whatever I can to give him the support that he needs, and I ask that you respect our privacy at this time,” said the mother-of-four.

Yesterday [People] confirmed that 16-year-old Rocco, who lives with his father Guy Ritchie, was arrested on September 28th, for holding a small amount of cannabis.

“The arrest follows a stop and search by officers from Camden borough on Wednesday, 28 September,” Scotland Yard told the magazine in an official statement.

“[Rocco] was dealt with by way of Triage, which uses multiple strands to engage and educate young people in order to prevent re-offending.”

According to The Sun, the teenager was sprung with the drugs in his backpack after fed up neighbours dobbed him in.

“Rocco has become a well-known figure in the neighbourhood and not for the right reasons. He’s been repeatedly seen acting suspiciously,” an insider told The Sun.

The publication claim residents in North London, where Rocco lives, have grown tired of his behaviour and called the cops when they spotted him “smoking or doing drugs” on a wall with a friend.

As the officials walked towards the teenager, it’s claimed he threw something away. They proceeded to search his backpack before discovering a small portion of the Class B drug.

Prior to her eldest son’s arrest, The Queen of Pop had been embroiled in a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband and Rocco’s father, Guy Ritchie, over the teen’s living arrangements.

After months of unrest, it’s believed Rocco will remain in London with Guy while Madge is allowed regular visits.
