Just over a week after being admitted to hospital over an alleged breakdown, Kanye West has checked out and is now back home with his family and wife Kim Kardashian.
TMZ reported that Kanye left the hospital on Wednesday, under the care of Kim and his personal physician Dr Michael Farzam – the same man who initially called 911 on the day Kanye was hospitalised.
According to the media outlet, the ‘Famous’ rapper will continue to receive treatment for psychological and medical issues whilst at home and is “not out of the woods” yet.

Kanye has reportedly checked out of the hospital and returned home to his family.
It’s been widely reported that his breakdown was triggered by the anniversary of his beloved mother Donda’s funeral, which took place on November 20, 2007. That same day this year, Kanye cancelled a planned gig in Los Angeles, before going on to call off the remainder of the Saint Pablo Tour the day after.
Kanye reportedly also struggled to cope with the aftermath of Kim’s harrowing armed robbery ordeal in Paris.
According to a new report in Us Weekly, the couple had been fighting in the lead up to his hospitalisation, with Kanye unable to sleep and feeling “completely freaked out” about what happened to Kim.

The anniversary of Donda West’s funeral is thought to have contributed to Kanye’s breakdown.
“The mere thought of his wife being taken from him was too much – it was like his mother’s death,” a source told the publication.
“Seeing Kim close to death did a major number on him. It sent him into a tailspin.”
Unsurprisingly, the couple’s relationship had reportedly been facing intense strain since then, especially as Kim’s fears after the robbery meant she was unable to accompany Kanye on tour as she normally would have done.
“It’s just been hell for them,” Us Weekly’s source said. “He would be up all night ranting about things. They were fighting because he was impossible to live with.”
The pressure culminated in Kanye being taken to the UCLA Medical Centre for psychiatric evaluation on November 21, suffering from what is being reported as a “nervous breakdown”.
Kim, who had been due to make her first public outing since the robbery at the Angel Ball in New York, skipped the event to fly back to Los Angeles to support her husband. And despite the couple’s alleged struggles, the reality star has been a constant fixture at Kanye’s side.
“Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him – and help their marriage.”
