Jools Oliver seems to be a baby making machine. With five children by her celebrity chef husband Jamie, they seem the perfect picture of English family life.
But in a new interview, the 42-year-old has revealed for the first time that she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage, that has blighted her experience of pregnancy ever since.
Speaking to the Mail Online, Jools admitted she lost a baby at three months, and as a result has never truly been able to relax in the early stages of her pregnancies.
While she didn’t confirm when she lost the baby, it seems she was suggesting it was some time ago, and not in the last few months since River has been born.
Jools has been open about the hormone treatment she underwent before getting pregnant the first time, due to her having polycystic ovary syndrome.
The syndrome, that you can find out more about here can cause some women to struggle to get pregnant.
Luckily for Jools, she was able to get help to successfully conceive, though tragically lost a child along the way.
