Comedic duo Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce will be joining Sharyn Casey to host the afternoon show on The Edge, replacing current co-hosts Guy Williams and Clint Roberts.
Mediaworks confirmed the news today in a press release, where Sharyn said she was “looking forward to Jono and Ben ditching the Metallica t-shirts and letting their Taylor Swift flag fly high!”
“I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved with Guy & Clint but Jono and Ben might be able to get me a good deal on a Holden, so ya know, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.”
As for the funny men themselves, they were no less excited about the big move.
“Jono has been at The Rock so long he didn’t realise there were other radio stations,” Ben quipped.
“We sailed a bouncy castle across Lake Taupo, a banana boat across Cook Strait and sold our souls on cans of energy drinks at The Rock. I can’t wait to see what shameless radio promotions lie ahead at The Edge with Sharyn.”
The news comes just over a month after it was announced that Guy would be leaving The Edge after almost three years with the station.

In a press release, the comedian said he was planning to focus more on television and other new projects for the future.
“It’s really hard to be leaving a show I’ve worked on for nearly three years and two of my best friends. Lucky it will be some small boots to fill for whoever gets the role. I’m really looking forward to working less in the future and focusing on my indoor netball career,” he joked at the time.
Meanwhile, Clint will be moving to George FM to join their refreshed Breakfast show.
“I’ve played my last T-Swift jam for a while, and I’m fizzed up to assemble New Zealand’s newest breakfast show on George FM – home of the bangers!” he said.
