Hollywood actor Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard have split after just 15 months of marriage.
The 30-year-old actress filed divorce papers on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences, according to entertainment site TMZ.
TMZ also revealed that Johnny’s mother, Betty Sue Palmer, passed away just six days ago on May 20, two days before papers were filed.
Amber and Johnny wed in February 2015 on the star’s private island in the Bahamas, with just a handful of close friends and family as witness.
But it seems that just 15 months later it’s all over for the pair, who met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2010.
At the time, Johnny was still in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis, his partner of 14 years, with whom he has two children.
Their relationship broke down in 2012, and Johnny then pursued a romance with Heard, who is more than 20 years his junior.
Earlier this week, Johnny appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to explain what happened when he was caught smuggling his pet dogs into Australia.
Neither Amber or Johnny have commented on the divorce news as of the time of publication.
