The label’s been relatively small up until now but now is planning a jump into the mainstream, with its new spring/summer clothing range.

Jerome’s brother, Ben, heads up the streetwear label and design team, although the new collaboration will see a solid input by his sporting brothers.

Eldest brother, Kaino, who recently turned pro-boxer, brings an eye for ring-style gear, while his other brothers, Bruce – who’s just finished a three-year stint with French rugby club CS Vienne – and Jerome, give the label some fresh off-field fashion direction.

This week’s online launch invited customers to ‘Be part of the KNO squad at www.knobrothers.nz.’

The urban streetwear range aims to give Kiwis cool clothing, from a brand they can identify with.

The label’s name, KNO – while a play on the family name, Kaino – is a dedication from the brothers to their hardworking parents, who’d made many sacrifices for their boys’ futures.

Jerome told the New Zealand Herald: “Family is everything to me. Seeing my brother start up this clothing label, to represent our family, is awesome.”

Jerome, 33, lined up last night with the All Blacks against the Wallabies. The winning game took out the Bledisloe Cup, and earned Jerome his 71st test cap.
