J.Law follows her heart

With a new Golden Globe under her belt and an Academy Award nomination (her fourth) for her work in Joy, Jennifer Lawrence should be flying high.

Instead, the bubbly actress is facing fears that her skyrocketing career could be the reason why her love life has yet to take off. Over the past few years, Jennifer has split from long-time love Nicholas Hoult, suffered through an on-again, off-again relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and professed her adoration for Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth only to see him return to ex-fiancée Miley Cyrus.

While her career continues to reach new heights, sources say Jennifer is considering whether her dedication to her craft is the reason behind her single status.

“It may sound crazy, but most of her friends from back home are already married and she’s anxious that she is behind schedule,” a friend of the star reveals exclusively to Woman’s Day.

Richie puts a ring on it!

He’s had an undeniably stellar year in 2015 with another successful World Cup bid, but former All Black Captain Richie McCaw isn’t resting on his laurels!

The Kiwi star celebrated 2016 with a bang by popping the question to his long-time love, Black Sticks beauty Gemma Flynn. The happy couple announced the news on Facebook, with Richie writing, “Gemma said ‘Yes!’ It’s been great celebrating our engagement with friends and family in sunny central Otago. Here’s to a great year ahead.”

The engagement comes as no surprise to those close to the loved-up pair, who have stuck together through both the highs and the lows over the past two-and-a-half years. Gemma was there to watch Richie and the rest of the All Blacks secure their second World Cup in a row at Twickenham, and Richie will no doubt be cheering Gemma on as the Black Sticks go for gold in Rio de Janeiro.

While the notoriously private couple have remained typically tight-lipped about their wedding plans, there’s no doubt it will be a gorgeous affair!
