Invasion at Miranda Kerr’s mansion leaves one shot and one stabbed

The violent confrontation at the supermodel's home was the result of a reported invasion.

TMZ reports an intruder who attempted to enter the model’s property has been shot after a brutal altercation with a security guard.

The report claims the intruder was confronted by the security guard after he jumped the fence. The intruder then stabbed the guard in the eye which prompted the the guard to shoot multiple times. One of the bullets is believed to have hit the intruder’s head.

The celebrity newsite reports the intruder and the security guard have both been airlifted to hospital and both are expect to survive.

A photo by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department posted to Twitter not long after the incident shows medics treating the stabbing victim on a helicopter.

The Australian supermodel is not believed to have been home at the time, and reports say she was last spotted in the area on Sunday while having dinner with friends.

The Californian property was bought by the model in 2014 following her divorce from actor, Orlando Bloom. She lives in Malibu with her five-year-old son, Flynn.
