Kiwi actor Ido Drent and his wife Mandy have welcomed their second bundle of joy, a daughter named Elliotte Lilian Drent.
The Offspring star shared the happy news on his social media pages, posting a sweet photo of father and daughter having a quiet moment together.
“And then there were four – Elliotte Lilian Drent/8 Nov 2016,” he captioned the tender snapshot, which showed just a glimpse of his baby girl’s face as she lay snuggled in his arms.
Ido’s wife Mandy also shared her own photo of Elliotte yesterday, writing: “So this happened today and our world is changed forever … again @idodrent.”
Little Elliotte joins the couple’s eldest child, Bastion, who was born in 2014.
When Woman’s Day spoke to the duo earlier this year, they revealed their joy at Bastion (affectionately known as Baz or Bazzy) becoming a big brother.
“With the first baby, you have all these romantic ideas about what it’s going to be like. This time around, our eyes are definitely wide open,” reflected Mandy on her second pregnancy.
“But I can’t wait to see Baz with his sister – that’s what I’m most excited about. I think he’ll love her.”
As for Ido, the former Shortland Street actor told us that he had always dreamed about having a daughter.
“All parent-child relationships are special, but I think there’s something unique about the bond between a father and daughter,” he revealed.
“I would have been happy either way, but I’m excited about having a girl.”
