Hugh, 47, had a basal cell carcinoma removed from his nose on Monday. He shared a bandaged image after the operation with a warning to fans.

“An example of what happens when you don’t wear sunscreen. Basal Cell. The mildest form of cancer but serious, nonetheless. PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups,” he wrote.

Hugh has had four basal cell carcinomas treated since November 2013.
