The artist formerly known as Ginger Spice has announced that she’s expecting her second child at the age of 44.
Geri Horner (nee Halliwell) took to Instagram on Monday to reveal her happy news, writing: “God bless Mother Nature #mama spice,” alongside a sketch of a pregnant woman.
Her spokesman later revealed that Geri and husband Christian are indeed expecting their first child together.
“Spice Girl Geri Horner (née Halliwell), 44, and husband Christian Horner OBE, 42, are absolutely delighted to announce they are expecting their first child together. The couple is overjoyed with the good news and cannot wait to welcome the newest addition to their family,” read the statement.
Geri and the F1 Team Leader have been dating since 2014, marrying last year in a star-studded ceremony in Bedfordshire, England.
The Spice Girls singer already has a 10-year-old daughter called Bluebell, while Christian also has a three-year-old from a previous relationship.
Geri had previously spoken about the couple’s desire to have a child together, but added that they knew they were “so lucky and so happy with things as they are” she didn’t want to push her luck.
