Robinson will step in for current reporter Matt Chisholm while he films Survivor New Zealand.

The journalist and presenter worked at TVNZ many years ago, before moving over to TV3’s Nightline and later, 3 News as a weekend anchor along side Simon Sheperd. She also hosted the factual series What’s Really In Our Food?

Robinson left Mediaworks earlier this year around the same time as Hilary Barry and news boss Mark Jennings.

“It’s really exciting to be stepping into a role at Seven Sharp. The team there is fantastic, and I can’t wait to reunite with the show’s Executive Producer, Antony Stevens, who I worked with on 3 News for a couple of years,” Robinson said.
