After 14 years together – 11 of them as husband and wife – Suzanne Paul and Duncan Wilson have some sad news to share with New Zealand Woman’s Weekly readers: they’ve decided to go their separate ways.
“I’m letting him go,” says Suzanne softly, “because I need to.”
“And so do I, and that’s the worst part of it,” adds Duncan.
Sitting down with the Weekly, they’re eager to put any speculation to rest, so they can begin the difficult process of separating, in private.
In the exclusive interview, available in this week’s issue of New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, Suzanne and Paul explain the difficult circumstances that have seen their marriage come to an end.

It’s been an extraordinarily hard decision to come to, and there is still a great deal of love and respect between the two of them, but they currently see no other option but to let each other go.
At the heart of their problem is Duncan’s Asperger syndrome – it’s caused him to have a few difficult episodes over the years, but his latest bout knocked them both sideways. “It has been colossal… catastrophic,” admits Duncan.
There are tears from both of them, as they tell the details of what’s gone on in their marriage – their triumphs and darkest moments – all told with remarkable honesty, humility and bravery.
It’s a must-read, in this week’s issue of New Zealand Woman’s Weekly.
