Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have welcomed a new baby girl into their growing family! The couple welcomed their second daughter, named Amada Lee Gosling, on April 29, reports TMZ.
The tot shares her name with older sister Esmeralda Amada, who was born in September 2014. The name ‘Amada’ has a special meaning for Eva, whose grandmother also shared the moniker. It can also mean beloved, adored and dear in Spanish.
Ryan and Eva began dating in 2011 after co-starring in the gritty crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines together. The intensely private couple are rarely seen on the red carpet together and even managed to keep both Eva’s first and second pregnancies secret for months.

Eva “just hasn’t ever wanted anyone beyond her close friends and family knowing more than they had to. And Ryan is certainly private and always has been,” an insider revealed to People.
Earlier in the week Ryan and Eva were spotted enjoying a Mother’s Day lunch together with their eldest daughter Esmeralda, although there were no signs of little Amada at the outing.
While the couple don’t often speak about each other, Ryan did reveal how important his family was to him in an earlier interview with Hello!.
“I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with – I’m not looking for anything else beyond Eva – and I feel very lucky that we have a beautiful, healthy daughter, who is an angel,” he told the publication.
“That’s investment enough for me.”
