Emma, 55, has now been confirmed to play the beloved character of Mrs. Potts, the housekeeper-turned-teapot who was a memorable part of the original Disney cartoon.

She’ll be joining a cast that includes Emma Watson as Belle, Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice, Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as his bumbling sidekick LeFou. Former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens has also been announced to star opposite Emma Watson as the Beast.

The highly anticipated flick will feature the same beloved songs as the original animated film, so we can’t wait to hear Emma’s take on classics like ‘Be Our Guest’ and of course, the iconic ‘Beauty and the Beast’ theme song!

The film is set to be released on March 17, 2017 in 3D and will be directed by Bill Condon – the man behind hit musicals Chicago and Dreamgirls.
