She’s been through more than her fair share of heartbreak as Lady Edith on Downton Abbey, but off-screen, it looks like actress Laura Carmichael’s love life is heating up!
Recently, the 29-year-old actress was spotted out and about with rumoured new love Michael Fox, who played illiterate footman Andrew Parker in the much-loved drama series.
While the budding couple shared only a few scenes together on set, the duo looked very comfortable with each other during their day out.
Laura and Michael, 27, are said to have struck up a romance while filming the final series of Downton.
“They started off as mates but quickly realised there was chemistry there and decided to start dating,” a source told The Sun of the pair’s relationship.

“It’s very early days still but they are really enjoying each other’s company. The best part is that since the show ended they have had a lot more time to spend with each other.”
The two recently hit the red carpet together at the National Television Awards, where Downton beat competitors including Doctor Who and Broadchurch to win Best Drama.
It’s one of several accolades the show has received in recent weeks, as the award nominations have come pouring in for Downton’s sixth and final series. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday, the show took home the trophy for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, and star Joanne Froggatt was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes.
