David Beckham is unrecognisable in character for new film

The soccer star is sporting a gnarly new look for an upcoming movie
David Beckham

David Beckham is a man of many talents. One of these talents is undoubtedly being professionally good looking.

But the gorgeous dad-of-four isn’t looking too hot these days, having taken to social media recently to share a decidedly different look. We wonder what Victoria thinks of the drastic transformation?

Sporting a gruesome scar and some questionable teeth, Becks is a far cry from the man we usually lust after.

The dramatic new look is for his new role in King Arthur, directed by Guy Ritchie.

According to The Guardian, David will play “a disgruntled knight” unable to retrieve King Arthur’s sword. Charlie Hunnam plays the leading role of King Arthur.

It’ll be Beckham’s first role playing a character in film. But he only has “13 lines”, something he’s happy about as he wants “practice” as an actor before pursuing other roles.

“I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed. What I have done so far, I have loved. I can deal with most things – I am a well-known person, so I have got used to the criticism.”

Of course it’s not the first time David has worked with Guy Ritchie.

Who could forget the 2013 H&M advert Ritchie directed where Beckham loses his clothes and is forced to run through a series of gardens in his undies trying to find them?

And of course, the star also had a brief, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in the 2015 spy caper The Man from U.N.C.L.E..
