Coronation Street star, Catherine Tyldesley, gave her social media followers a bit of a treat this week, when she shared a picture of herself from 2007.

The 32-year-old actress was just a fresh faced girl of 23 at the time and was starring in the BBC period drama Lillies.

Her fans clearly loved the snap of a carefree Cath in character as Iris Moss. Many commented on how sweet she looked at the time, and how much they’d enjoyed the TV series.

The soap star – now famous for playing Coro Street’s Eva Price – also has her sights set on a career as a pop singer.

So far she’s released a debut single Rise, and while it’s been reported that it didn’t perform very well in the charts, Catherine is still gearing up for an album launch.

While she’s got ambitions to make it big in the music world, she’s promises fans there’s no way she’s leaving the show.

She told metro.co.uk she’s really busy working on storylines, but she’s also just as passionate about singing.

Juggling the demands of her role on the show, along with her singing ambitions means the star has a pretty full life, but the show is her first priority.

“My agent is completely aware that Coronation Street comes first and I will just as much as I want to do or as little as I want to do, as and where” she told Metro.co.uk.
