Coro star returns to Weatherfield

Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has announced she will finally be returning to the soap – after four years away from the cobbled streets of Weatherfield.

The 26-year-old star, who has an 15-month-old daughter with premiere league footballer Scott Sinclair, left Coro in 2012 when she was offered a place on reality show I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of Here!

Despite being an actress by trade, Helen has only done one episode of Holby City since leaving Coro – which she started her career on aged nine.

And after over a decade playing little Rosie Webster, hele said she felt the character had become “a cartoon.”

But Corrie bosses have allegedly offered the actress, who is also a lads’ mag fave, the equivalent of $60,000 dollars for a three month stint back on the show.

Boss Kate Oates said: “The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we. We are delighted that Helen is as keen to explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are.”

Helen will have to divide her time between Glasgow, where her boyfriend plays for Celtic football club, and Manchester, where Coro is filmed.

And despite having only signed on for three months initially, Helen is reportedly open to extending her contract further, meaning we could see Rosie back on screens for good.
