Self-proclaimed ‘Bitchelorette’ Chrystal Chenery has slammed radio host Dominic Harvey after he posted a now-deleted Instagram photo showing her mid-split during the finale of Dancing with the Stars.
Dom posted the picture (taken during Chrystal and Jonny Williams’ rumba) with the caption “Crystal just showing Art what he missed out on”. Arthur Green himself also left a comment on the photo before it was removed yesterday.
Dom told the New Zealand Herald the photo was intended to be “humorous”, and he took it down after learning Chrystal wasn’t “overly happy” with it.

However, Chrystal said she didn’t accept the apology and was particularly hurt as Dom’s wife Jay-Jay Harvey had been a fellow competitor on DWTS.
“He has made a long list of errors of judgement on social media and on air and as far as I am concerned he should go,” she told The Herald, adding that she wanted him held accountable by MediaWorks, which owns TV3 and The Edge radio station.
However, Dom hit back on his radio show this morning, implying Chrystal asked him for compensation by way of paying her hotel bill.
“It was a crass joke … I apologised on social meda,” he said on air.
“We offered her the opportunity to come on [the show] and chat about this but she wasn’t keen.”
Meanwhile, Dom’s wife Jay-Jay, who was knocked out of the competition after the semifinal, said she supported her husband and his apology.
“Let’s just hope Chrystal can find peace.”
