R&B star Chris Brown is in a standoff with police officers in his Los Angeles home after he allegedly brandished a gun on his house guest Baylee Curran, the winner of the Miss California Regional 2016 pageant, for admiring a piece of his jewellery.

Chris has denied the claims and said that he woke to find his house surrounded by police officers and that they would need to present a search warrant before entering his property.

Chris’s lawyer Mark Geragos has since arrived at the residence, but could not be reached for comment.

TMZ reported that the woman was Miss California Regional 2016 winner Baylee Curran who had been staying at his house since Monday evening.

Baylee reported on TMZ that Chris’ people wouldn’t let her take her cell phone until she signed a non-disclosure agreement. She refused to sign, and she and her friend left.

In an Instagram video posted by Chris amid all the drama, he appeared distressed.

“I don’t sleep half the damn night I just wake up to all these … helicopters, choppers is around, police out there at the gate. What I do care about is you are defacing my name and my character and integrity,” he added, saying he had done nothing wrong and criticising police actions.
