Celine Dion has revealed she never wanted to sing the Titanic theme song, My Heart Will Go On.
The superstar made the shocking confession during a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, one of her first appearances since the death of her husband, René Angélil, in January.
The song, which will forever be associated with James Cameron’s box office hit film Titanic, remains one of Dion’s biggest hits, is the 13th-biggest selling single of all time and won the Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Song.
“One thing is that, I’m glad I sang the song because… I didn’t want to record the song,” she told a surprised Fallon.
“I’m sorry… I’m so happy that my people don’t listen to me, everything I say (sic).”
The French-Canadian singer made the most of her rare television appearance, also playing Fallon’s Wheel of Impressions game, pulling out some hilarious – and very good – impressions of Sia, Rihanna, Cher and even Michael Jackson.
