Calvin Harris has gone to bat for his famous girlfriend on Twitter, defending her in a series of posts aimed at former One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik.
The drama started when Zayn retweeted another user who seemed to be criticising Taylor and her refusal to allow her music to be streamed for free on services such as Spotify.
The retweet included a meme that compared Taylor’s decision with a quote from Miley Cyrus that read, “I’ve made my money. If no one buys my album, cool. It’s fine. I’ve got a house, and I’ve got dogs that I love. I don’t need anything else.”
Calvin responded directly to both Zayn and the original user @FemaleTexts, making it clear whose side he was on.
Not one to take the barbed comments lying down, Zayn posted his own responses to Calvin and seemed to deny criticising Taylor in the first place.
While Taylor herself didn’t step in, the boys eventually settled things on their own terms, with Calvin taking the high road and saying it was “all good”.
