Their labour of love on this season’s The Block NZ: Villa Wars has seen Brooke Thompson and Mitch Davies walk away with the ultimate win – and a cool $290,000 in prize money!
Their house ultimately sold for $1,350,000 during yesterday’s live auction, which meant the DIY duo made $190,000 in profit and bagged an extra $100,000 for coming in first ahead of their competitors Sarah and Minanne Kong, Jamie Johns and Hayden Campbell, and Cat Glass and Jeremy Hill.
Now that they’ve won, Brooke and Mitch say they’re ready to settle down.
“We want to move to Queenstown, but it’s not the cheapest place to live. We want to buy a bit of dirt down there and create a lifestyle and have some little rugrats,” Mitch revealed.
