After announcing her shock pregnancy with twins yesterday, the pop icon has now shared photos from her intimate underwater maternity shoot.

Yesterday morning Beyonce announced on social media she was pregnant with twins, and it took just 11 hours for the star to break Instagram’s record for the most liked photograph on the photo-sharing platform.

Now – the pop icon has released the full collection of stunning photos from her maternity shoot, celebrating motherhood.

The intimate images which were posted on her website alongside poetic text about motherhood and ancient figures of female strength, show the superstar swimming under water, reclining on a bed of roses and sitting naked on a floral throne.
