On the heels of her mother Tina Knowles Lawson’s touching open letter, Beyonce has taken to Instagram to share a sweet side-by-side photo in honour of Mother’s Day.
“Sending love to Mothers around the world,” she captioned the throwback photo, which shows herself as a little girl holding onto Tina’s hand on the left side of the snapshot. On the right, Blue Ivy can be seen holding onto Beyonce’s hand in a picture taken at Tina’s wedding in April.

Along with her sister Solange, Bey has had a very close relationship with Tina growing up – and in her letter for Time, Tina gushed about her four ‘daughters’ – Beyonce, Solange, Kelly Rowland and niece Angie.
“Every day, I wake up thinking about how much I love, admire and cherish each of you,” she wrote.
