The video shows Beyonce performing her song ‘Partition’. During the track, Beyonce drops down to get closer to some of the fans right in front of the stage.
As she moves her mic away from her mouth, her vocals can still be heard continuing on for a few seconds before Beyonce hurriedly gets back into it.
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time the star has been caught out for not performing live. Last year, she famously admitted to lipping the US national anthem at Barack Obama’s inauguration, due to concerns over the lack of rehearsal time prior to the event.
At that performance, she sang along to a pre-recorded track of her own vocals, and perhaps that’s what happened here. There’s no doubt she can sing, but Beyonce’s gruelling dance routines would certainly make it difficult for anyone to keep perfectly on pitch throughout an entire concert!
