We’ve long been fans of Meryl Streep, but this week she really stole our hearts. After making a speech in praise of diversity, freedom and kindness at the Golden Globes – celebrities couldn’t wait to share their solidarity with Meryl, taking to Instagram to post their support.

Meanwhile Iman Bowie paid tribute to her late husband, David Bowie, on the one year anniversary of his death. Sharing a sweet image of the couple embracing on a beach – Iman wrote that her husband was her “forever love.”

America said goodbye to their first ever black president, Barack Obama, with everyone from Reece Withserpoon to Gwyneth Paltrow posting tributes.

Closer to home, Kiwi celebrities were enjoying the start of some warmer weather – with Anika Moa and Matilda Rice both enjoying the delights of a pool day.

We kicked off the week with the Golden Globes 2017, and Meryl Streep won admiration for her awesome speech about equality, freedom of the press, and several sly digs at Donald Trump.

President Obama departed the White House this week, to make way for the new President Elect Donald Trump. Celebrities from around the world shared their tributes to the popular leader, including Gwyneth Paltrow.

Model Iman paid heartfelt tribute to her late husband, David Bowie, on what would have been his 70th birthday.
